@terreno No, if your friend didn’t try to commit suicide none of this would have happened, it’s not your fault or responsibility, it’s not your job like it is for a professional. If it makes you feel better, you can tell your friend who else they can call if you are unavailable, be it a local mental health professional or a suicide line, who will maybe do a better job than you (because it’s their job, no offense), I hope sharing the burden gives you some peace.
