There is a lot of research with energy drinks and how they effect the heart, I would look into it, especially if you feel like you're having adverse effects.

Those things are terrible for you. There is a reason that energy drinks are not USDA-approved and the cans themselves say to limit to 3 per day. It is best to stop drinking them at all.

I would suggest thinking to yourself what you like about it? Do you need the energy to get up in the morning, or doing something specific? in that case i suggest you make it a habbit to gain energy from something more healthy, such as a quick walk or find some music that really gets your heart pumping? If it's for the taste, then drink some other soda you like, but doesn't contain as much caffeine :)

Stop!!! Today, right now! STOP drinking them! They're not good for you especially if you're in your teenage years. You already have energy. In fact, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody at any age. The caffeine in these drinks can kill you. Yes, too much caffeine can kill you! Don't even dare mix them with alcoholic drinks. You're digging yourself a grave. Let me tell you a itty, bitty story about how I used to work in retail, and I was in charge of scanning in the merchandise that was sliding through the conveyor belt from the truck driver. The truck driver threw in a 24 pack of Monster drinks onto the conveyor belt headed straight at me for scanning. One Monster aluminum can popped out of the thick plastic wrapping and splashed on the dark, cemented floor. After cleaning the floor the splash mark stayed on the that floor to remind us of that morning. Imagine if it does that to a floor?? What does it do to your body?? Your organs?? Just...stay away from it! :)

Pretty much anything in excess is bad for you. I say, switch to coffee (or even better, tea). It's a safer option to get a boost of caffeine... But yeah, like the others said; research it. Understand the chemicals you're putting into your body and hopefully you will find the motivation to at least cut down a bit. I know it's not easy, but good luck!

I would say honestly, the most detrimental thing you're putting into your body is the sugar more than the caffeine. The amount of sugar you're taking in basically converts into carbs which becomes the sole source of energy for your body. "NOT" The caffeine. Thus, the reason for the crash once that is used up. Fill up on carbs, use them up, burn out. Repeat the process.... not good. Not to say the high intake of caffeine is good for you either....
