Well I have experienced this a lot of times so I use a trick for that, see when you chat with someone, then right click on vent/listen button above and select open in a new tab. So if you get disconnected then, hurry up to that tab and click on vent or listen which takes you to the page where you have to finally choose whether you need to vent or listen. If you were fast enough then it will give you option to reconnect with your last venter or listener. It works at least most of the time given that the other person does not closes the tab fast. So it's a fast thing. :) I hope this helps...
