Very overwhelmed & need some guidance!

So i’m graduating high school in a couple months & on my way to college. I’ve decided to attend a community college first to get my associates degree so i can get a little more time to figure out what i want to major in when i transfer. Lately, i’ve been doing a lot of research & taken interest in becoming an ID specialist. But before i can do so, i have to go through the process of medical school & internal medicine & all of this stuff & it’s making me so overwhelmed. I like learning about the diseases & what happens to the body. It’s overwhelming because this kind of responsibility of treating & helping another person when they’re in pain is huge! I’m just afraid that i won’t be able to remember or obtain all the information, because i mean, doctors need to know their stuff like the back of their hand. I’m so stressed on what to do! Is it normal to feel like this? It feels like jumping off a bridge with a blindfold on. If there is anyone else that has experience or who are also going into the medical field, advice would be very much appreciated! Or any guidance would be very helpful!

Honestly it's crazy the kind of stuff you pick up in university. I'll be telling my parents about a concept I learned thinking that it's super basic and they'll be staring at me with blank faces.
It will take a while to pick up the jargon but believe me when I say that you get used to it pretty quickly. (That being said I'm not a med student; however, I'm in psych and there are a lot of concepts and theories and jargon in that subject too).
