UGH…FASCISM. Smokers this one’s for you.

Everyone in my apartment complex received a note on their door stating that marijuana was being used on the complex grounds and reminded it’s a violation to our lease. I am very VERY close to someone that lives there that is one of them. He doesn’t know what he should do and frankly I don’t either. He has personal issues and has smoked for a long time now. He doesn’t know how to give it up, and he is pretty angry that they may be looking through people’s apartment homes. I agree our apartments are pretty much not very private at all. It’s a lot different then when I rented before a decade ago. They can really waltz right in whenever they want to. But the point is, I don’t know what to tell my friend. If they were to catch him the notice says he’ll be given a 14 day notice to leave which would pretty much make him homeless or at least unable to get a new place. Any advice?

I'd advise your friend to find a way to only smoke off the premises or move into his own house, if possible. Most apartment complexes will have a problem with marijuana use. Otherwise, what advice is there to really give except to blow his bowl hits out the window and use a lot of candles or other types of air fresheners and fans? Plus, administration will still probably notice the smell if the use is that frequent. As far as personal marijuana stashes go, tell him to get a safe and keep the key on him.

A safe is a great idea thanks! I'll recommend he do all of this. He's got his own place in the complex here he pays rent on a 1brm. They're always in it though. Mine too. I was in a duplex before he recommended I move to these apartments. It wasn't so bad before we got new owners last year I guess. Thanks again!

There's marijuana butter, something called hot boxing, but mostly you should ask on weed users online communities for people with a knowledge about the issues, they will tell you what they can and cannot do.

Your "friend" could purchase a vaporizer.
