Still in love after 4 years?

Hi. Well, I had a first love. We never saw each other for 4 years and then, we saw each other last July when he said goodbye to me and went to New York.

But the fact is when i stalk his profile, Im missing him. Is this normal? He said that he wanted me to be free (and he doesnt want be stucked to him) and I always have a special place in his heart. What does it means?

Of course it's normal to miss someone you were once with, we all do it. And it means that he wanted to break things off, but it doesn't mean it wasn't real at the time and it in no way lessens how he felt about you: he'd always remember you. So you can do the same: move on, but look back at the moments you shared together with a smile

That he said you'll always have a place in his heart means that he'll always care about you. For some it's dumping silently or letting go, but for others it means they'll never forget you. When I say it to someone, it means that I truly feel something for that person.
