Should I give my professor a letter telling her about my depression?

I was wondering if I should explain in a letter my I was absent from so many classes and late forso many others, as well as why I did sort of poorly this semester. I’m not used to doing so badly, but I’ve been having sort of a hard time. So I was who seeing if I should give her a letter I wrote explaining it to her. I also wrote to thank her. She’s really an excellent teacher
I felt bad that I couldn’t get as much out of the class as I really wanted to. But I’m entering the adult world, and I just wonder if it’s too juvenile..

I think letter is the good way for that situation.

It's always nice to get a note from someone. Especially if you feel that close to your professor that you want to explain some of your time away and to thank them.

Telling her the situation on hand might help her figure out a way she can help you learn better. She will most likely be able to understand if you told her the truth so go head and do it if you have to chance.

I personally think it's a great idea.
