Procrastination

I procrastinate too much. Like leaving it until 8PM. Advice other than getting rid of technology b/c half of the time I need it to actually do my homework.

Well, instead of getting rid of technology, why not use it to annoy yourself? Set a billion alarms to go off at around the same time, all of them reminding you to do your work and pestering you if you don't. There are also programs that can monitor your Internet usage and make you feel more inclined to do work with random pop ups saying things like "get off the computer, you need to get work done" or if you're having trouble with essays or writing in general, visit a website called writeordie.com, it'll annoy you if you stop writing for a period of time.

If you work start working at, say, 4:00 and work for thirty minutes straight, put a dime in a jar. Take a small break, only a few minutes, if you need it. Then work for thirty minutes again and repeat the process. After a few weeks, empty your jar and go splurge. And set a bunch of alarms. And I think there are some ways to restrict websites for a certain amount of time on your computer so you can get some work done. Lastly, actually close all other programs and pages on your computer other than the ones you really need for homework.

Truthfully, make a day to day schedule of what you need to do. Like a to-do list; you can make it broad (make a small checklist) or be specific (checklist with certain time to start and finish a task). Then, pretty much stick to the schedule. Organize your priorities and have self-restraint. Hope that helps :)
