No motivation..

0

I’m going through all my exams in two weeks and like everyone else.. I SHOULD be working hard.. But I have no motivation.. I sit and do nothing even though I know I should be working. I know this sounds stupid but I just don’t do the work needed to be done, is there anyway I can actually get to work?

I have the same problem. A study technique that I have tried is that I work hard for 30 minutes and then take a 5 minute break, and repeat. This has helped improve my studying abilities. Try removing all distractions (cell phones, computers, etc). Once you begin to concentrate on something finishing it becomes much easier. Hope this helps! If you still need more advice feel free to send me a message.

I know how you feel. In fact, I'm procrastinating right now. I'd suggest giving yourself little rewards along the way. Like, if you work for a solid hour, you get to have some ice cream or whatever you like. Try breaking up your work into manageable portions. Coffee also helps. So does having someone there to push you along and check every so often to make sure you're working, if you have anyone who could do that. And just remind yourself how good it will feel once you're done!

I am exactly the same way! I agree with both of the previous answers. Find something to motivate you. You'll go get a burrito once you've completed 3 pages of your essay, or something like that. You definitely should work and take a break, as a cycle. Good luck!

The above answers are what I do, most of the time. I do have the same problem as you, so I understand. What I do is try to get myself in a really good mood, put on some really peppy music that puts me in a really good mood or something, and then from there I just feel so excited and energized that I feel like I need to do something, and that makes it a lot easier to do my homework(whether it be studying, writing, anything really). So I hope that helped(: Good luck with finals!
