Is tumblr a bad site? (I need someone religious please, I’m sorry)

Its not a sin to just be on tumblr. There are sinful things on tumblr, but there's sinful things on every site. These things only hurt you when you choose to act upon them.

It can be both a good and a bad site, depending on a bunch of things and depending on what your opinion is about the site. I go on there to write on my blog about my life as a christian and I look at motivation or inspirational posts, and different kinds of posts, like an update on a pet corgi or facts about a certain topic. I think that it is good because of those things, but it can be bad because there might be negative like stuff. I don't really come across negative stuff at all when I'm on there though.Being creative, doing artwork, and blogging are not sins, at least I think so, unless your doing something negative when doing those things. They are hobbies, things that you like to do and things that are worth occupying your time. Not anyway sinful.If you go to church, you could go and ask your pastor/reverend/ or someone you know there to see if it's really a sin, that is if you really want to know for sure. i wouldn't call myself a serious religious person, but I do live in a very religious household. My mother in a pastor. I think you have a tumblr account if it makes you happy. As you said, you want to use it for your art and that's it. If you truly loved the site I say you should keep it. There's no real sin being committed here. I know plenty of people who have devoted their life to their faith and still have a tumblr. You shouldn't let your faith get you anxious your faith is supposed to heal the anxiety. Have a tumblr if it makes you happy, thats the most important thing.

On the other hand, if you use it to help inspire you to become a better person, I'm sure God would be please at how you'd use it.

The thing about tumblr is that although they say its a hate-free environment it is completely...well, BS. I have one. I see so much rude and hateful things towards religion in there. So when I happen to scroll through bad posts like that, it makes me feel disgusted too. But as long as the person doesn't post rude or sinful things then they should be okay. There's many good, religious blogs on there too; so it's not really sinning for being on there in general; just posting inappropriate stuff and maybe laughing at things that are vulgar.

if you are only using it for your art then no its not a sin. granted there is many sinful things on tumblr, but just stay away from those things. you know what is right and wrong so follow your head

I think if you will use it for your art that's not a problem. We can see at tumbrl a lot of pics. This good,and this bad pictures. I guess it's kinda good idea:) But im sorry,im not religious:(

Honey, tumblr in itself is not a sin. Tumblr is a where people can vent their feelings, talk about things they like, and simply share their life. When you read other people's posts, you are basically listening to them, and that will always be okay.

God created man, and man created Tumblr, so Tumblr is like a gift from God! You just have to be a little careful on what you follow and you can enjoy the greatest website since 4chan!
