id say use distractions, go on a hike or a run, play music, write, take a bath, light a candle, read a book, smoke some pot (it can be very opening and awakening), do art, read, meditate, listen to music, volunteer somewhere, talk to a friend, spend time with a fun sibling, take a shower, etc! there are many ways to change your thought process. just be committed to happiness and it will come to you!
Cutting really doesn't take the pain away. You have to look for the positives even at your worst. You need to find a healthy venting method to replace it. I have quite a bit of experience with self destructive behavior if you want to message me anytime you can.
Sometimes it can help to be violent. You can try to let out your feelings by taking a hammer and hitting a tree for example as hard as you can. It won't take the pain away, but it might make you feel a little bit better.
