Is it wrong for me to daydream of scenarios that involve me getting hurt?

I can’t help but think of me getting hit by a car, raped, beaten.. ect. ; and being saved. I’ve been raped before, but I’ve always thought I should have had a hero like Elliot Stabler from Law and Order: SVU. I don’t understand why I think of this, when I’ve been through it already.

There is nothing wrong with you :) It's just a reoccurring thought from what had happened in the past. It's normal to want a different outcome and you just wanted to be saved. You long for something greater in the events that affected you. Somewhat of a closure to your past. The best thing to fill in this hole in my eyes is Love.

You are wishing that something different had happened to you/you wish the scenario had played out differently and somebody had saved you?I think it's normal to think about changing the past or think about possibilities of what might happen to you someday. As long as you don't enjoy thinking about yourself getting hurt.

i think there is nothing wrong with you. :) such dreams often haunt girls who have never been raped. you probably want to be saved, to experience the relief and bliss of somebody loving you so much that they would want to steal you away from death, and your imagination suggests that being hurt is the shortest path of receiving that kind of love. but being hurt isn't the point, is it? being loved is.

i believe that at some point every girl dreams of being saved from a dragon (or anything that can symbolically relate to a dragon: death, danger, disaster of sorts). another common fantasy, by the way, is saving someone else from death. wounded heroes that need someone to nurse them to safety are another fetish that manifests our desire to receive and express love.
