Is it normal that I find being alone reading/writing more attractive than going to a party/rave?

I feel like I’m the only person that gets NOTHING out of hitting the bars or raving I just can’t have fun at these things. I just can’t “enjoy myself” the entire time I’m thinking “why am I wasting my time when I could be doing something productive right now.”

Different things appeal to different people, it's perfectly normal to prefer chilling out alone or getting stuff done to going out and getting drunk. There are loads of people who feel that way, just do the things that make you happy. And hey, at the end of your nights you can remember what you did!

I would rather have a night in with yummy hot chocolate and a good book than go out and dance and drink and go clubbing. You are not alone!! And like Rio said everyone is different.. And likes different things. :) keep rocking the reading/writing train!! I am :)

I am 17 years old and my weekends consist of watching movies and using the computer. You should do whatever makes you happy! Don't go out if your not going to have fun. Do what interests you :) I would rather stay home and sleep than party any day!

There's really no such thing as "normal" because everyone likes to do different things... and I'd rather get lost in a book than go to a party any day!
