ok this is gonna be weird and awkward and i’m sorry but there have been a bunch of sex questions on here so i think it’s ok to ask? okay so i went to a math symposium earlier and basically listened to someone talk about math for two hours and i really really enjoyed it. but when i got back to my room i tried to start on homework but i haven’t been able to really focus on anything and my face feels kinda warm and i feel a little bit weird down under, y’know? and i can’t help but thinking, have i been turned on by math??? like is that a thing that can even happen? or should i get checked for fever or something b/c that’s the only other explanation i can think of.

It might not be that you're turned on by math; rather that you're just aroused sexually. Many people can be aroused for no reason simply because of hormone fluctuation. That being said for some people mundane everyday things can be slightly erotic. It's not weird...it's just body chemistry.

Hmm, I suppose it's possible you could be turned on by math. This girl I dated figured out that talking evolutionary biology at me while we cuddled was a surefire way to make me kiss her. (And there's nothing inherently sexy about evolutionary biology.) It could be that math has a similar effect on you, but to a much higher degree. Though like swifting said, it's also possible it's just your hormones going crazy, and the math symposium was incidental.

I get sexually aroused whenever I solve a problem that I've been having difficulty with for a long time. Like literally, makes me want to call my S.O. up for a quickie. Just been happening a lot lately for w/e reason.
