I’m scared

0

Hi I’m a senior high school student and I just took my UPCAT this morning (UPCAT is like the SAT; it’s a college entrance exam). I am terribly frightened because I didn’t get to answer more than 15 questions because of time pressure. It’s a right minus 1/4 score of the wrong type of tests. Out of these 15 questions I dont know the answer to, I approximately guessed 9 out of them then I skipped the others.. because I was afraid of the point deduction.

Right now, I regret not answering the questions that I skipped because my schoolmates said that it would be better in answering them. I’m really terrified because this is my dream University and I really want to study there. Also, even though I belong to the cream section of our batch so I thought the exam would be easier for me… But then, it seems like other students dont even find the UPCAT difficult.

I’m really scared. This is University is the best University in my country, the Philippines, and I really want to study there. But after the exam, I felt that my dream got broken right before my eyes. I really want to cry right now, I feel so low about myself. And what’s even worse is the agony in waiting for the results that will come out in February 2014.

I really dont know what to feel. My heart is still pounding and i can feel a heavy load in my shoulders. Please help me.

You can take the exam again right? I know when I took SAT's I did pretty bad, a 1500 mostly because I didn't really care but I took it again and I was more calm and I knew what to expect on the test so I got a 1800 and I was happy with that. Again it's just a test, some people don't do as well on those as others. Definitely you want to answer the most amount of questions you can, even if you can eliminate some of the answers, it's better to know that one or two answers isn't right then take the 50/50 chance then not at all. But even if you do poorly it's not the end of the world you just try again.

First, take a deep breath and let it out... Second, you are still an awesome person no matter what your test results are!!! Third, check out this website: http://collegeapps.about.com/od/sat/tp/bad-sat-scores.htm I'm sure some of the tips will help. Best wishes!
