I’m not sure what this is

Here’s my story: Around January this year, I found out my grandpa has Leukemia (he’s healing wonderfully though, so that’s not the thing I’m worried about). But around that time, I started having random heart palpitations. I was at college, so I went to the student health center, and they diagnosed me with anxiety. Now I haven’t had any anxiety attacks, so I don’t think that’s true. However, I am a rather energetic person, always have been, and I do sometimes get a little worked up when talking about certain things (I’ll talk fast, face will get hot). And I still have random heart palpitations (they’re rather inconsistent and will happen at any time of the day). Oh, and sometimes I’ll have like.. hot flashes, is what it feels like, but I’m 19, so it’s definitely not, say, menopause. But I’ll feel like super warm sometimes and other times I’ll be sweating when I’m not even all that warm. So there’s my story. What I want to hear is what you might think this is. Is there a type of anxiety where I don’t necessarily feel anxious that much, but still have some of the other symptoms? I wish I knew more on this subject, but that’s why I’m asking you all.

Hello SKittrix, I am not a doctor but I can relate to you with those symtoms. When I get anxiety I sweat a lot as well, get very hot and flushed and have the random heart papiltations as well. I'm not sure if that is any help but maybe i'tll help if someone with anxiety can relate. Maybe if you are worried go and see your doctor again. It can't hurt. Goodluck and all the best to you.

I would definitely go see a doctor as heart palpitations are not something you should take lightly. In saying that, anxiety is not just a panic attack. Sometimes anxiety can be what you've described, sweating and heart palpitations at random times when you think you are okay. I sometimes get random attacks that like when nothing is bothering me at that present moment.
