Okay. He is either unsure you're real or knows you'll find out he isn't real. Don't meet up with him until you've video chatted with him or other confirmation that he is real. If he keeps straying away, be careful-he might be dangerous.

You might consider letting go the idea of meeting him face-to-face, at least at the moment. A lot of people have had internet safety tips drilled into their brain from a young age, and one of the rules is never to meet up with someone you talk to online. I know that you're not an internet predator, and you want to meet Mike now, but give it some time until he feels comfortable with the idea.

If you haven't already, I'd suggest doing a video chat as an in-between step. You might also ask Mike for his reasons about not wanting to meet in person. Just don't push too hard. If you guys are getting along fine now, you don't have to worry about losing him. Mike isn't going to stop talking to you just because you don't move to the next level of communication.
