Most teachers would be very engaged in their student's lives, just approach them as if they were a friend, and hopefully they will react the same. They are usually very trustworthy and very understanding, so it's safe to say that your secret is safe with them, unless otherwise. But be sure to disclose confidentiality within your conversation!
