How do you get over being cheated on?

I don’t know 100% whether I was cheated on or not, but I have someone telling me she met my partner on Tinder.. He denies it and has been denying it for the past few months but how does someone get over that shitty feeling?

That's a main problem with couples these days. Don't let others influence your relationship. Unless you see it personally, you shouldn't accuse him. Your dating him, No one else is. You cant be in a relationship with someone if you don't trust them. That goes for friendships as well.

To me, it sounds like the deeper issue here is trust. It's not necessarily that this person says she saw your partner on Tindr, it's that your relationship is in a place where that seems possible to you. Regardless of the truth of the accusation, you and he need to address the underlying issues that led to this lack of trust. If you can fix these deeper issues, the things people say will mean less.

First things first is finding out yourself if possible whether these allegations against your significant other are true because people can easily spread rumors or accidentally jump to conclusions. In the event that he's cheating then I would talk it out with him. If you really love him then you'll figure a way to work it out with him presuming that he's willing to do the same for you. If the trust issue is broken and won't be easily won back then I would seriously consider breaking up and moving on. Because trust is built over a long time but as such is very fragile to the touch. But anyways I wish you the best of luck in finding the truth and figuring out how to sort things out with your boyfriend. Remember there's nothing wrong with being a little selfish if it's for the right reasons! Take care of yourself first and foremost!
