How do you explain your sexuality?

0

I’m a recently out bisexual, and things haven’t been going great at home. My mother is in denial and I haven’t even told my stepfather, who by the way thinks all “fags” should burn in hell. My dad is okay with me being me though, and my stepmother is as well, but they just accepted it with no questions asked and I didn’t even have to explain anything to them, and I feel like I have to do that with my mother. How would I go about that without being kicked from the house?

Dear Mr. Pentatonix, please understand that it is not your job to be what your parents want you to be. You have to understand when it comes to sexuality that is not something you choose. The most important thing about sexuality is that you must be able to accept it and be confident in yourself. Never look for that confidence in anybody else. I am bisexual myself and I have been with both men and women and can freely talk about that. I am 27, have a husband and a full nursing degree behind me and we even have an open relationship. Do you judge me for that? If so then your simply not compatible with me as a friend, family member, or partner. Thats just how it works in life you will gain some and loose some. But in the end the person who is always there for you is always going to be you. As long as your ok with where you are nobody elses opinion will matter.
