How do I tell my parents I haven’t been taking my meds?

0

So I was put on some medication like a year ago and they made me suicidal so I was prescribed new meds which felt like they worked but they upped the dosage and they started having the same suicidal effect as the medication I was originally prescribed so I stopped taking them without anyone knowing and its been months since I stopped taking them and I’m doing great but how do I tell my parents? I don’t want them to be angry.

Aw hun. Don't worry about a thing. If they weren't right for you and they made you feel worse than your parents should definitely understand. Sometimes it takes a while for you to find the right ones but you will feel so much better when you do. I wish you the best of luck.

Just tell them that the meds are not right for you. Your parents will love you no matter what. You are the only person that knows what is working for you and what isn't. Tell them calmly and I'm sure it will be ok =]

You have to keep accountability of your medication. Your parents cannot help you if you sneak around. It is your place to tell your doctor when medication is having certain effects; you cannot be timid when it comes to your health. Speak up and help them help you.
