@alexcollins You mentionned Lana Del Rey, and I can only share this quote of her's;
"For me, the issue of feminism is just not an interesting concept... Whenever people bring up feminism, I'm like, god. I'm just not really that interested. I'm more interested in, you know, SpaceX and Tesla, what's going to happen with our intergalactic possibilities." ~ Lana Del Rey

Rolling Stone @ordinary-girl An old song? It was released in mid-late-2011... It's a recent song.
My personal favorite song is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I consider it the best song ever written. On the other hand, I enjoy most of Sum41's songs (kind of typical pop/punk rock sound, but don't be fooled, the lyrics are deeply thought and well constructed), such as Confusion and Frustration in Modern Times. "Divided we stand, together we fall; There isn't a god that can save us all; So don't pray on your knees; Just beg on your hands; There is no belief in this promised land."Most Marina and the Diamonds songs are also quite lyrically interesting. "Lies", "Starring Role", "Girls", "Obsessions", "Teen Idle", "Electra Heart", are all epic songs. I also enjoy many Christian Perri songs, as well as Arctic Monkeys, Evanescence.
As of rap, the best rap song ever written is without a doubt 'La censure pour l'échafaud' by Loco Locass. It's a song in French, so most of you wouldn't know it, anyways. I do enjoy Eminem's and Hopsin's songs as well, and a few more underground artists such as Smacktown, Bliss Neo, SwizZz, e-dubble, etc.
But I cannot comment about my favorite songs without talking of Rucka Rucka Ali, who I'm a big fan of, hence my name on blahtherapy, which is an alias of the guy's. His best song is either 'Coincidental Racist' or 'I'm Osama'.
