Dude always picks me to be on his team

Whether it be dodgeball, soccer, kickball,or football
everytime this boy is picked as team captain, he always picks me to be on his team.

outside of sports he sometimes watches me and in a way looks after me. but he doesn’t have feelings for me

its kinda weird

There are two options. Either the dude wants just wants to win like Robin said or he likes you. Whichever one it is, I think you should be grateful for it. Not everyone has some one who looks after them.

If you are sure he doesn't like you then he probably just feels a sort of protectiveness over you that is all.
