Do you really think guns are needed?.I am hoping that many of you will respond

Gun control is too complex of an issue to be discussed in depth here. However; I will state that the number of shootings has not increased according to the Department of Defense and Department of Justice. Rather, the media coverage of such shootings and events has become more prevalent.

Less guns does not necessarily mean more peace. And, controlling guns to legal owning firearm individuals would not have stopped a majority of gun deaths in the United States in the past 30 years even. Most of the guns used in shootings involving human death are from unregistered, stolen, and smuggled weapons.

Hunting as it involves sport hunting and not fully for consumption is still a way of population control over animals. The DNR if they do not meet the quota of filled tags by public hunters often has to do the heard control themselves. Such as with the white tail deer population; by controlling deer populous they can reduce the numbers of animals struck on the road. This results in fewer automobile accidents which cars are damaged and humans are killed. Predator hunts, such as wolves and bears, also control the population as well as reduce threats to humans and over taxing the natural resources set aside for the wildlife.

I'm from a little town in Texas, a lot of people carried guns to kill snakes, so they COULD protect their family. I didn't have a gun, me and some friends got attacked by a rattle snake and we had nothing to kill it with. Many GOOD people use guns to protect themselves and their family. They protect themselves from things as simple as rattle snakes to BAD people with guns. The bad people will still have guns, they can get guns illegally. Good people need guns to make the criminal's lives a little harder.

You can moralize against guns and still be killed by a guy with one.
