Do you get annoyed at the smallest things when stressed?

First off, my blocked nose is giving me a LOT of probs. I decided to take my antihistamines and stuff tgt with coffee (it’s 12:24am) to help me continue to burn some midnight oil.

The coffee cup is smaller than usual (I didn’t want to drink so much), and the stirrer was still the same length. While drinking, the stirrer dropped out & hit my face, in a reflex attempt to correct it, i spilt coffee… ALL OVER MY NEW TEXTBOOK.

Mind you, it’s a very expensive textbook which I’ve grown to love just after being an owner for a few days, and I’m reading it for my exams.

However, now I feel so must inextinguishable ANGUISH that half of my book has this brownish stain on it!! I searched google for remedies but none were easy to do :/

I just totally feel so swamped right now. It’s like, ain’t I stressed enough man… why did that have to happen to me.

I dunno if this shows I’m meticulous (and would love to have things clean and spick & span) or I’m bad at handling stress, or if it’s “normal” to be like this when stressed.

What can I do to calm myself down and get over the spilt coffee?

Music always helps me. Try to listen to something calm and relaxing, put in some earphones, close your eyes, and take deep breaths. And it is normal to be like this when you're stressed. During exams my pen fell on the ground and I got so mad that I threw my textbook and put a hole in my wall. S you are not alone.

Ah yea the stupidest and smallest things can really bother me when I am stressed. Music helps me too, but I also find that taking some time off of all of the things stressing me out can be necessary. Go for a walk to a park and swing for an hour, or sit and read a whole book, or paint something or see friends. You're far less productive when stressed anyway, taking the space from what you have to do to decompress will only be helpful. ^^
