crushing on a housemate

so I moved to uni this week. I have told my friends countless times, never get with a housemate. But here I am. I am really crushing on this guy. I know it’s only been a week but I’ve spent nearly all day everyday with him. First night he got with a girl from a few doors down but he says it was a mistake and he regrets it. It’s not all the time, but sometimes he sits close or he will stand near me like he’s suggesting something. For the first time ever I feel like someone I find attractive could like me back but I’m not sure at all. Also the whole don’t get with a housemate thing.

it actually depends on if his actions suggest a friendly way or another, but as they both have said its too early to make a move or anything, since you barely know the guy, so get to know each other first and be sure of the choice your about to make :) good luck and love to hear more from this

It's been just a week. Way too early to make a move. And also is his behavior just civil/friendly or he is really dropping hints and making suggestive moves?

I agree with DarkStar here, waaaaay too early. You barely know the guy. He can be a player and you have no idea. Make sure you know him better. Use the time you guys have to ask him stuff about his family, hobbies, stuff like that. And who knows? Maybe he actually is a very nice guy and things work out between you guys. Just be carefull and go slow ok? Wish you the best of luck

You should try to get to know him a little bit longer. It is a bit risky with dating a housemate but it's not impossible. It's all about what you can cope with if things don't work out like you want them to. Good luck!

we were close again tonight but im pretty sure he's looking at other girls but it might just be housemates getting the wrong idea, im not sure. Im letting things happen but trying to not get attached
