Call it quits on college or not?

0

I am 20 years old and in college but I can’t seem to get anything done. I try to do all my work on time but I always procrastinate until the last minute and end up getting a bad grade on everything, I’m close to dropping out because of it. But it’s not only that, I can’t remember anything, ever! I read my books and I study and study but then I go and take a test I still fail it. No matter what happens I still fail the test. It’s to the point where i cant deal with the stress. Do ya’ll think i should just call it quits at school or keep going, i know that if i keep going i can go on to do amazing jobs and have fun in life, but i can’t tell if it’s worth the stress right now. And trust me it is a lot of stress.

Talk with your professors and your counselor. Tell them what's going on. Maybe they can find you a group you could study with. I know it sounds weird but it can work and I think you're destined to do great things. I hope it all works out.

If there's anything I've learned from attending college, is that it has made a lot of people depressed. It's alarming, really. If you're under this intense amount of stress, then I would suggest taking a break from college. And eventually, if you feel like you're at the right time, place, and state of mind to start college again, then go for it. If you don't then that's okay, too. You might feel like time is of the essence. You're in the generation where time, money, and energy is incredibly important and delicate. But let me tell you - take it slow. I suggest taking a gap year. Get into your hobbies, volunteer, travel, whatever. Please know that, despite what society thinks, school isn't for everyone.
