Why do MOST girls think I am hitting on them?

1

Ok, so basically… I am told I am a really nice guy by my friends and a sweetie etc. etc.
But when I speak to a girl, they instantly assume I am hitting on them and like become really embarrassed and like awkward… All I am trying to be is a nice person and a good friend, how come?

Hey, honestly, it's probably because you are nice. I mean, I don't know how old you are, but because so many guys are just rude or objectifying to girls, they'd probably assume that you genuinely like them. But don't change! Be nice to everyone, if you come off as a flirt, I guess just try and dial it down. There's no need to be worrying about it though!

It's sad we live in a world where being nice is so uncommon when said person is nice it's now perceived as flirting

Here comes the party breaker. I will give you few solutions, you will know what of this is the closest to reality.1. You are some sort of rock star, or very popular with many friends.2. You always approach somewhat insecure girls.3. You do not roll smooth, and girls pick that vibe and reflect it back.Whatever it is, congratulations, You are approaching. Most men just look from a distance.

@Iksion What if I told you, I am REALLY awkward around girls XD and I just don't even talk to them. I am not even that good looking :P Maybe it's how I act with my friends in class idk :)

I remember a similar situation me and a load of girls felt this way about a guy in our college. he was a reaally nice guy but the only thing that made me feel this way was the fact he actually approached me wiv a swagga attitude and he was a flirt. Think the fing which got him known as a flirt was because he was constantly chatting to different girls all the time. only other fing a girl could feel awkward about is if she actually fancys you a lot, but your a quiet type of person to let on to.
