What is the best way to get motivated to lose weight?

I have been wanting to lose weight for a while now since i gained over 50 pounds from my birth control. i have no motivation to do so. My bf wants me to work out with him but i just cant seem to find the energy to do so. it doesnt help that my knees get fluid built up in then and when the fluid goes down my joints and bones “grind” together and are very sore to walk or exercise. I like to run and do cardio .

I just lost 20 pounds, and I'm going for about 15 more. My motivation... was mainly that I knew I could do better for myself. I've been overweight all my life, and it was a goal I've always wanted to reach. It's hard for me to reach goals, and to this day I can't really name one that I've reached. But this will be one. Once you start drinking a lot of water and eating healthy, your mood really does improve. You learn a lot about yourself. And it's good you have someone to support you! I definitely didn't wanna leave my house when I started, but now I'm planning on hitting the gym about 3-4 times a week! You'll get there!

I find that what motivates me is to have a photo reference of yourself when you were at your happiest weight and work on that. I get bad shin splints when I run so I walk mostly but skipping is lots of fun and you burn twice the amount of calories and despite what they say doing weights is really great too and gives time to allow other body parts to rest. Sometimes I find exercising with my bf is making it a competition cause we're both so competitive so we see how quick we can run a lap of the oval or how long we can skip and stuff like that.

Honestly what motivates me to work out is having someone with me. Maybe you just dont want to work out with your boyfriend? Try calling one of your girl friends and seeing if they want to go on a long walk, or jog with you every so often. To help with that, try having a coffee or pop a five hour energy every once in a while. That tends to get me wired, making me want to do anything but sit around. I think it would be best for you to just call up a friend, but if thats not motivating you, and neither is your boyfriend, then the only other suggestion that would work (for me anyways) is drinking some kind of energy drink, though not often since they arnt really good for you, and hopfully that will give you the slight kick you need.

Buy a clothes item at your goal weight something super sexy. keep it on display so it keeps you motivated to loose that extra weight. OR if your like me and see a really pretty girl with the waist size u want. print out the picture and keep it on you so you can always see your goal waist size idk hope i helped.

goals! keep setting goals for yourself and think of your body as a temple as your home and that you shouldn't do anything to wreck it.
