@javi-soliz I think people are confusing respect with body positivity. Obviously you should be respectfull to anyone no matter their apperance (if they’re respectfull back ofc). So if someone is overweight you have to be respectfull too. But another completly different thing is motivating an unhealthy weight. When a doctor comes forward and says that the weight is not ok, that is a health professional that studied for years and we should pay attention that. I understand some people have medication and that it makes them gain alot of weight but that is a small percentage. And the thing that I hate the most about body positivity is the SHAME on healthy people. I’m a super petite woman, partially because my ancestors are also that way, but because I’m very active and enjoy eating healthy. The ammount of times other overweight women shamed my body and said ”go eat a fucking sandwhich!” or ”no man likes bones!”… I can’t even count. So to me body positivity is a good movement but sadly is WAY too manipulated when is convinient instead of actually promoting body types in a simple yet healthy way.
well i appreciate your input darlin. At the end of the day, i’ll be respectful, but im not going to blow sunshine up anyones ass and i’ll tell it like it is to any of those obese women. They’re dying. people do gain weight when taking meds but they shouldnt use that as an excuse. anyone who is obese needs to put down the big mac and exercise. mariko, they’re just jealous because you don’t have to turn sideways when you enter the public restroom stalls to unleash the kraken.
