Since this is a group of musical theatre fans on a therapy website one would think there would be at least a couple fans of Next to Normal on here.

“Ah, but what is this, how do you say, ‘Next to Normal’?” Well, my friend, Next to Normal is a rock musical by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey about a family struggling with the repercussions of the mother’s bipolar disorder and the winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Score and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

So yeah it’s pretty cool and the kind souls of Youtube have uploaded the OBCR and also several bootlegs in case you’re interested.

I love Next to Normal! It’s definitely in my top 5 favorite musicals. It’s just so honest and uplifting. Plus Aaron Tveit.

Next to Normal is one of the few soundtracks that I can listen to on repeat for literally weeks and never get sick of it. “Everything Else” was my personal theme song for a really long time.
