The best advice to give would to tell the person that it isnt their fault..to let them know they do not deserve to be treated that way and they can move on from it. Most people stay in an abusive relationship because 1)Their partner threatens them. 2) They “love” the person 3)The other person buys them forgiveness gifts. or 4)The other person promises not to do it again. But the pattern continues. There’s a better life out there without any pain and hurt and anger. (: <3
