Addicted..

So, I’ve been looking in the groups and stuff for anyone with similar problems, but posting works too..
Does anyone on here have a drug addiction?
What are some major signs that you are, in fact, getting addicted?
Does anyone share my opinion that drugs aren’t bad – if they make you happy, then fuck what society thinks? (with the exception of like heroine and meth, because I don’t think they really make you happy, just numb.)

i've had multiple drug addictions. you know you're addicted when it's your first thought in the morning, when you'd rather be alone doing that drug than anything else (including spending time with people you love), when you'd do anything to get it when you don't have it.

There's a difference between what kind of drugs you're using. If it's anything that can cause harmful long term effects (which is like, 90% of drugs), then I do believe that there is something wrong with it. Marijuana, in my opinion, is a bit different, because it's not physically addicting like most drugs, but it can be mentally addicting. WHEN you're addicted, you can tell by the fact that if you go so many hours without it, you get a raving and possibly start shaking, that's one of the most common symptoms. If you're at that stage, and it's a serious drug, please call a rehab centre right away, but if you're talking something like salvia or marijuana, something that, if not done stupidly, won't damage much more than your lungs and ability to focus, then just be careful, because gateway drugs can still be dangerous, hence the name.

I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink too often anymore, but when I do, it's always more than I can handle. If it is impacting your social, school/work, relationships, &/or daily life negatively in any way, maybe you have an addiction. I don't think drugs are good but I understand that they can take the pain away for a little while. Using often is not good.

Well, my drug of choice is cocaine.. But, it's too expensive to really have 24/7 like I would like to.. It started out as a weight loss thing, since I already have bulimia, I figured adding cocaine would curve my appetite and not give me the urge to eat as much... But now it's like I just want it. I want the numbness. I want the euphoria. But, I don't know if it would be considered an addiction, if I don't do it a lot, but I always crave it... Would that be considered an addiction?
