I'm a 24 year-old female who has struggled with depression and anxiety for most of her life. I and part of my family now know the reasons for this (there is always a reason, you're not crazy) and for their suffering as well. We've never been "diagnosed" and we are not on any medication, just FYI.
We are getting through it and have seen the beginning of healing, but it's just been especially hard for me and my brother, who are still depressed, lonely, afraid, isolated, jobless, misunderstood, etc. I have artistic ability but have little drive to pursue it, I have no close friends and no community. Life just feels pretty empty and meaningless for me at this point.
I have no one outside the family to talk to, so I decided to come here to vent if I need to.
