The day when fighting racism isn’t a part of my daily routine will be the Best day ever~

    Mood : Optimistic
    • True, being from the south I see a lot of what goes on and it suprises me still that humans are still as ignorant today as they were centuries ago

    • I’m from Florida, which isn’t really bad at all, but like, I always hear stories and what not. Plus the basic racism, like mean jokes aimed at black people. It’s not as bad as it was before, but it’s still really annoying and something we need to fix.

    • Yeah I agree, I’m from Texas so I see it all the time. Mostly with older folk. My class all grew up together and we were never tought to discriminate thank god so we all respect each other. I’m 30 minutes from Dallas which is a good thing because it’s a liberal city the views there are much more unbiased and respectable. Unfortunately where I reside is a small conservative hick town filled with a bunch of ignorant rednecks. Don’t get me wrong therefore a lot of insightful people who respect one another like all cities. But you can tell the majority of the city is divided and like you said it needs to change. And the only way it is Is through some sort of political advancements within the community.

    • *there are

    • I’ve long moved from Florida. I live in Ohio now, and it isn’t bad at all. But there are still idiots who don’t understand what it’s like to be discriminated against. Like, I have A few Asian friends, and they’re always getting teased. They take it in stride, but it’s something that they shouldn’t have to deal with. As a black person, I get teased from both sides because I ”act white”, but like, you can’t act a color? But! As young people, we can change all of that!!!

    • Exactly we are the beginning of a social revolution. I can’t say that I’ve been discriminated against based on race because that would be ignorant. I’ve never felt the pain from being teased. I’ve only felt pain from seeing my friends and family get racist comments thrown towards them. The fight is far from over and the unfortunate thing is that the world treats it as if it already is

    • We have a lot to do but we have a lot of heart and maybe one day a person’s race won’t even come to mind.
