Perhaps it’s because I’m easily amused, but I’ve always found that small silly things are what make me less anxious and upset than inspirational lectures (not that those aren’t good sometimes!). So I’m gonna share a bit of my mental list of happy things and hope that people have things they wanna add too. :O)

- Google search “Therapy Llamas”
- The Youtube channel Cooking with Dog
- Watching interviews of bands I like (and tbh sometimes I just watch random band interviews because they’re hilarious I’m lookin at you bryan stars)
- Listening to nostalgia songs (a song you listened to a butt ton during a certain period of time so that when you close your eyes and listen to it, you can curl back up in those feelings whenever you want)
- Writing a thank you note to someone even if you don’t finish it and never send them it
- Telling someone you love them
- Thinking about snow
- Watching TV shows you watched as a little kid (don’t lie to yourself, zaboomafoo and arthur are still quality television)
- Writing a note for your future self to read
- Playing doodleordie for extended periods of time
- Trying to draw people with your eyes closed and holding your pencil like a kindergardener
- Finger painting
- The synonyms dictionary.com provides for the word “cutie”

Things that make me feel less anxious or stressed or even just make me smile are pretty easy
-spending a long time drawing and coloring a picture
-finger painting (like said above, is great fun and messy)
-spinning around until you fall on your butt
-blowing bubbles (although a friend w/ you makes it better)
-turning on pandora and refusing to skip any song
-dancing around as you clean
-serenading my best friend as she rolls her eyes
-rewatching my favorite from any show
-losing myself in a good book
-taking goofy pictures on my friend’s phone to laugh at later
As I started typing the list I just kinda fell into listing things that make me a bit happier lol

1. The feel of my fuzzy blankets. -It’s the best feeling in the whole entire world.
2. Nice cozy beds. Next level: Water beds.
3. Waking up at someone elses house. I always have this moment of “Wait what?” and then I remember where I am and I feel okay again.
4. The feeling of petting my cat while she purrs. She has soft fur.
5. The way the light hits leaves sometimes and makes them look so beautiful.
6. Making plans with friends. That always makes me happy.
7. Smiles.
8. Animals. Fuzzy animals. Bunnies, cats, dogs, hamsters. I mean I like fish too.
9. Giving a book I loved when I was younger to a little kid.
10. Giving presents I spent a lot of time on or cards that I made and put a lot of work into.
11. Feeling like I belong.
12. Sunsets.
13. Books that I can relate to.
14. Songs that make me feel infinite. -Perks of being a wallflower reference!
15. Inside jokes.
16. Nail polish.
17. Babies! Baby elephants, puppies, kittens, humans, bunnies, all of them!
18. Noticing little quirks in some people that make them special. :)

Ooh I really like these!! Already feeling pretty good thinking about some of them!

- Setting up a one-person tea party with whatever music you love! For me it’s jazz.

- Clean bedroom. Not cleaning it, just when it’s clean. The world seems to make a bit more sense without that chaos!

- Rain. I love rain! And when it’s done, the world looks like someone threw an Instagram filter over it. It’s so bright and pretty!

- Hugs… I know this one hardly needs to be said! But after a real hug from someone who loves me, I feel like I can take on the world!

- Listening to someone who needs an ear. That’s why this site makes me feel so great!

- Soft, fluffy things. <3

- Coffee! Or tea, if that's your thing. … You know, hot beverages in general are amazing.

- Feeling like you've accomplished a lot in your productive day, and sitting down to watch TV without feeling guilty!

- People, they make me so happy!

I agree with you Nombiez on quite a lot of yours! A clean bedroom is very satisfying, and I agree with all of the others on your list.

I also enjoy listening to music, playing my double bass, occasionally tinkering on the piano, sketching sometimes, at night when I’m surrounded by pillows and duvets and sitting outside in the summer when there’s a small breeze with my family.
Just a few things, I could continue but I’ll probably save it for another time!
