Hmm, this is an odd question, and I believe that just by me asking it means that it’s not fake, but why do I feel like, when I’m having a mental breakdown, that I can stop it for a few seconds by trying to act normal. I feel like breakdowns are uncontrollable, but, then I somehow stop myself mid way and shrug it off for a few seconds.

In my opinion, that is a sign that you’re strong enough to control yourself. Everyone has ups and downs, everyone has those times when they feel like screaming it all out and breaking everything around them, but many time they can keep control of the situation. We all have power and control over ourselves. When you feel like you’re having a mental breakdown, just breathe deeply, lie down, relax and do your things. You already have the power. With a good amount of will and some practice, you’ll be able to control the situation in no time.
