I made a post before on getting my first tattoo with my sister for Christmas. We contacted the only tattoo parlor in our town (in Northern Norway) and we were told there is a minimum price of $200 per tattoo. Because they want to actually make money… now… Is it just me, or is that WAYYYY too much? My sister and I wanted matching wrist tattoos, nothing big and we dont even think we want color in it.. and its $200 EACH.

I feel like we’re being ripped off, so we wont be getting our tattoos. :/

Im curious how much you guys payed for yours. I just want to compare the prizes around the world.

My tattoo I had done most recently (within the last 2 years) was $700. Full color and is the size of my hand with script writing. I had it done in the Minnesota Metro Area. The minimum tattoo was $100 at the shop.

Depends on the size/complexity. 100$ minimum is pretty fucking steep. The most I paid for a tattoo was 180$ and that was for large script across my chest. just black ink, nothing special. I’ve noticed a HELL of an inflation on tattoo prices over the past few years. The best advice I have is window shopping before you purchase. There are a surplus of shops and artists.
