This Haunted Kitchen

I lead you through, gently tugging your hand
When suddenly you’re in front of me
Resting against the counter
In this kitchen of shadows

You heart beat thumps louder
Than the music in the next room
Where people laugh and dance
And remind each other what it’s like to live
To be young and have fun
Like a newtons cradle of youth

Your eyes are larger and blacker
And make me feel just as infinite
As the night sky I would stand till I was cold
And stare at
When I was young.
I tell you what I want
I say it aloud and there’s no need to be ashamed
There’s plenty of time for that tomorrow

Our lips touch.
Your black make up taints my red
And vice versa
It’s hot
Love like lave flows between our lips

Our hands wander,
Finding sweet spots only we could know
And we linger there,
Rubbing and squeezing
Like playing a scratch card and the prize is
Sweet, delicious endorphins.

In that room we would remain
Bodies pressed together in the corner
With hands in hidden crevasses
For 3 more minutes
Before the people would burst in
And bring the guilt and hurt and scandal with them

And in those three minutes
I think
We were more honest
And real
Than we had ever been

If you put the lights out, you won’t see it! Well, that technique can be used here too! It’s not necessary to put out all the lights german kitchens direct, but if you dim the kitchen and spotlight the dining area, the clutter will be “hidden” in the dark.
