Once when I was in kindergarten my father had given me a balloon. A smile stretched across my face, ear to ear. Until I fell and accidentally let it go.
Once we went to the beach and I found a star fish. Oh boy, I was so excited to run and show everyone! Until I fell and accidentally let it go.
Growing up my whole life consisted of picking things up and accidentally letting them go before I really wanted to. My knees, hands and arms are all scraped and scared but I always bounced back.
When in high school I met you.
My heart pounded, butterflies fluttered, happiness and love consumed me.
Until I fell and you let go.
I’m use to cuts, scrapes and bruises on my body, but no one ever warned me of the pain caused by heart break.
Accidentally letting go was so easy, but letting go on purpose….how did you do it?
