In my experience, having someone that you can release your thoughts with can really help to reduce the lonely feeling that seems to persist endlessly day in and day out. It doesn’t have to be a potential mate or anything, just someone you feel you can trust. Opening up to trust another can be a difficult thing to do for some, however trust is something essential for people in order to have full emotional health.

In my experience, a person can’t simply just say “I am not lonely” and then have the feelings of loneliness disappear. It’s an actual calling for someone or something, and dismissing it isn’t doing to cause it to go away. It will only make it stronger until we feel compelled to answer its call.
