I know I’m not a lesbian, I am a pansexual who prefers females, but I am posting here with the issue that’s been on my mind for a long time now. How do I come out of the closet to my homophobic family? My cousins and aunts and uncles are all homophobic, and I’m pretty sure my grandparents are too. I just don’t know what to do right now. I feel like they need to know, I want to tell them, though I do enjoy having these people that I can call family, I love them.

To be honest, I wouldn’t come out to a homophobic family until you’re 18.

I only came out to my family as pansexual (i told them I was bi) when it became relevant.
