I’ve been agnostic for about a decade, last year though I traveled to Singapore, went to a Buddhist Temple that offers free Buddhist books and somehow got enlightened by the philosophy. I practice their teachings and stuff.

I went looking for a Buddhist center/temple here near my area and found one by searching online about 6 months ago, curious and wanting to learn more about Buddhism. I signed up to their newsletter. They didn’t have much events since I signed up. But just this week they sent a newsletter saying that a refuge vow with teaching and class will happen this weekend. I want to go, the place is about 40 minutes commute. I’m just anxious (I have social anxiety) if I should go. I’m worried that I might feel weird since it’s gonna be the first time that I’ll be exposed to an organized Buddhist community, I also don’t know if it will recharge or exhaust me. But I’m also interested in what I might learn. I’m just torn between my anxiety and my curiosity…
