Yet no one believes that people can have such thing or it doesn’t exist. Its kind of annoying to tell people this and they don’t believe you or say “You’ll fall in love one day, you’ll see” Or when I say that I’m asexual they go “I’m sorry to hear that”

Have you guys ever get such comments?

I find myself in a similar situation, especially around my parents, I find it`s best to just not talk about it around people who will not accept you. They arn`t you, and they can`t know for sure how you feel, but it`s good you know who you are. If you ever need to talk to someone about this I`m here. and best of luck :)

I’m aromantic, asexual and when I told my parents..
“You just haven’t blossomed yet.”
“You just haven’t experienced it yet.”
“It’s one of the best things in life.”

Ugh yes, “You haven’t met the right person yet.”
“How can someone not like sex, it’s the best thing ever!”
“You’re young, you don’t know who you are yet.”
“You can’t have a romantic relationship without sexual attraction.”
“Sex and love go hand in hand.”
“You can’t have a platonic partner, that isn’t even a thing.”
THERE ARE SO MANY I COULD KEEP GOING FOR HOURS

All my friends just accept that I’m asexual and they don’t even bother discussing it, because there’s nothing to say. But I heard a lot of “grown-ups” tell me that:
“You just haven’t met the right person yet.”
“One day you’ll change your mind.”
“You can’t be in a relationship without sex.”
“You can’t tell, you’re still a virgin.”
“Just try it!”
Especially the last one makes me really mad because I DON’T WANT TO TRY IT and they just don’t understand.
