I always feel insecure whenever I’m with my pretty friends. I’m in good terms with them but sometimes I feel envious and want to be like them but I sometimes isolate myself from the group. How could I appreciate myself and get rid of this insecurity of mine?

This is an exercise that I learned a few years ago…
every night I want you to write down something you like about yourself. just one thing. It can be something small like the way you walk or the way your nose crinkles when you smile even. You can write about personality traits that you like about yourself or something you did that day that you were proud of too. Just write something and fold up the paper and put it in a jar.

Whenever you feel down or underappreciated, take out the jar and read one of the notes you left yourself. Remind yourself that you may not look like everyone else but you are beautiful in your own way. You are a sparkling individual that means the world to someone and you have every right to love and be proud of yourself.
