Do you think it was intentional, or sort of a reflex he wasn’t paying attention to? Either way, talk to him. That is unacceptable behaviour. No one (especially someone who is supposed to love and protect you) should ever express their anger physically upon you. You should seriously consider leaving this relationship.

How long have you two been together, and would you consider telling what you two were arguing about? Obviously, if that makes you uncomfortable, no worries, you don’t have to share if you don’t want to.

Your safety and health is the highest priority. If him being around threatens either, you need to remove yourself from the situation. Please, please do what’s best for you.
