I recommend the Ender Sage, the books are called Ender’s Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide and Children of the Mind, with some more than don’t fit chronologically. After that you can go onto the Hitchhikers’ Guide to the Galaxy trilogy, which has plenty of adventure sci-fi. Following the first book, the titles are The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, Life the Universe and Everything, So Long and Thanks for all the Fish, Mostly Harmless and And Another Thing.

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness was pretty darn good. Surprisingly suspenseful considering everyone in the book can hear everyone else’s thoughts.
