In real life, we have to work and work hard to make a living. Does it all become hard to balance along with trying to squeeze in time for your music? By the time I get home, I’m exhausted, and only have time to eat then go right to sleep. I get to practice my music once a week, but that’s not ideal for real improvement. How do you guys prioritize music along with your every day tasks, such as work, school, etc.?

No. I’m not sure why real life would get in the way of music.
Some people’s life is making music, lol.
You sound like you need to sit down and make a schedule.
There are 24 hours in a day, 7 days a week. But how are you using every hour of every day?
That’s what you need to ask yourself.
I made a schedule for myself and it’s working pretty well.

I would say yes, but not so much out of lack of time to do it, in my case. I only work 4 days a week, but I find it very difficult to relax to a point where I can actually enjoy listening to music anymore, or even to work on my own music. It’s harder to focus on emotional music or music that used to have a heavy effect on me. My mind always has something turning over in the background, preventing me from getting into whatever I’m listening/working on.
