Will people still pray to God if there’s no Hell?

I see a lot of people pray to God regardless what the religion is but what if there’s no hell and whatever we did,do or will do we still get to go to heaven. Will people really be still praying to God? Just curious.

Personally? Yes, because prayer is a way of communicating with God. He's not a genie or some sort of tool or get out of jail free card. I don't just ask Him for things. It's a relationship.

Yes. Not all people pray out of fear of hell or for forgiveness. Many people pray when they feel weak and need strength or reassurance, to show appreciation for the things they have or for the sake of others. Saying a prayer, no matter your religion is not just a way to be relieved of your sins and the guilt it should cause you. If someone is praying strictly because they did wrong, then they need to reconsider their beliefs.

Well, not all religions believe in "hell". Let me start by noting that. Secondly prayer has nothing to do with the existence of hell or not. Yea, people would still pray.

WOW!! That is a very deep question... and I really don't know the answer because I am only one person, and not a very religious one at that, but I would say, theoretically speaking, that they wouldn't feel the NEED to. However, I believe that they still probably would. Hope this helps... probably didn't! haha

Of course not. Cuz there wouldn't be a heaven without hell 0.0

will you still be talking about if there is?

An all-benevolent God does not create a place of eternal suffer, torture, rape, misery, sickness, filth and general unpleasantness. The mere notion is severely contradictory, it literally goes against everything that the Christian God is touted to be. A thing either is or it is not: An All-Loving God does not ALSO inflict hate-filled, tortuous punishment, he would cease to be all-loving. The logic is simple and sound.

I would desire a relationship regardless. God is not limited to keeping people out of hell. He would still be able to make a positive contribution in my life, unless you have a very negative image of God.

There has to be a hell because it specifically says that God created a special place for satan when he decided that he was going to try and be God/beat God at his own game. Now, hypothetically speaking...if there was no Hell...yes people would still pray. People don't pray to stay out of Hell, they pray for answers/comfort/peace/healing...whatever they want really. If they pray just to stay out of Hell...their hearts are not in the right place.

I do not believe so. The entire christian religion just survives because of fear.
