Why is love so painful?

You're opening yourself up completely to someone else. It gives them the chance to hurt you, even if they don't mean to or want to. Being in love means being vulnerable. But try and think about the things that make you love her, instead of why you can't have her. Maybe it will help ease the pain a little bit. You won't be alone forever. You'll find someone who loves you just as much.

It is never easy letting go of a love interest, ever. But you are strong, and you will be able to get over it, I promise you that. You will find someone else in the future when you are more healed, and you will feel great when you do! I guarantee it!

because true love means giving yourself 100% to someone else.. and if they don't do the same then --falling in love means falling down. love is supposed to be both falling into each other to hold each other up, if that makes sense. love is so raw, you open your heart to someone and make yourself vulnerable, you're giving someone else an unguarded opportunity to destroy everything you have and are. like the Bible says "guard your heart"... it's true. I'm jaded from love.. haven't dated anyone in 3 years. It's hard. I understand.
